Which Providers Support ULoA
Advisers can now interact with all UK Platforms and Product Providers via ULoA. Our service has an ever-growing list of fully subscribed providers that have adopted the service in full, so requests to them and responses from them benefit from from full tracking and status updates. Those providers that have yet to fully subscribe recieve your requests via a secure email, and then process the fulfillment the same as if you sent them an email directly.
What data should be provided in response to a ULoA request?
Providers receiving and accepting request are presented with a fulfilment page.
Depending on the product type the service may allow the Provider to fulfil the
request either, with their own pack, or by inputting / uploading data to it.
Providers may fulfil a request by attaching their own pack using a combination of
links/URLs, documents and notes.
Alternatively, fulfilling a request as per the ULoA Standard requires data to conform
to Criterion’s Letter of Authority standards and mandatory fields are asterisked (*)
on the input form. Data requested is summarised here.
Will LoA requests and responses be permanently stored on the ULoA service?
No, the service is neither a permanent record of LoA requests nor a long term
repository for fulfilment data. ULoA facilitates the transmission of requests and
responses to them. Users on both the Adviser side and the Provider side must
download any requests or fulfilment that they need to retain for their own records.
An archiving process has been implemented to delete redundant draft requests after 90 days and
to remove personal and sensitive data from submitted requests after 365 days.
Why are staff assigned to teams?
Teams are used in the ULoA service to organise work and by Advisers to
communicate address and contact details to Providers.
Staff assigned to a team can create or modify requests for their own team but have no visibility of requests for teams sitting above them, or in a different leg of a team hierarchy. The service permits members of higher-level teams to see the requests of lower-level teams to facilitate management or specialist oversight
