The Client Details screen permits users to switch between pages and to add details as required.
Policyholder, joint policyholder and trustee details are entered to the Client Details page of the LoA request. For the purposes of ULoA, the Primary Client is the first Policyholder added to the LoA and they must be on all policies / contracts in the request.
While the majority of LoAs are likely to be for a single client, some will be for multiple clients. The sequencing of the LoA request implies the collation of client details including those of additional signatories before policies are added.
Using the Client Details
The Client Details page is used to identify the Servicing Agent (if required) and to add clients / signatories and their details to the LoA.
Servicing Agent
If your firm chooses to assign a Servicing Agent to any (or all) of your LoA requests then either input the name (forename and surname) of the agent for the LoA, or use the selector to indicate that you (the logged on user) are the Servicing Agent for the request.
The default is for the Servicing Agent selector to be “No” allowing the user (regardless of their own role – support/administrator/adviser etc.) to identify another member of staff as the individual assigned to help the client. Where a Servicing Agent name is input that name is shared with all Providers that the request is submitted to. Servicing Agent can be viewed or updated on any page of the LoA request but cannot be changed once the request has been submitted.
Click "add" in the client/signatory selector and choose the additional signatory type (Joint Holder/Trustee).A button for the newly added signatory together with a form appropriate to their role is added to the draft LoA.
Users can navigate between signatories by clicking the buttons and a vertical bar to the left of them indicates which signatory is currently selected.
