ULoA roles have deliberately been kept straightforward, particularly for Adviser Firms where only two roles have been defined. Each user must have at least one role, but some firms may choose to give some staff both roles as required:
- Each role has one or more permissions which determine the actions a user can carry out on the ULoA service.
- The ULoA service does not provide functionality to allow any user to modify the permissions of a role. The permissions are fixed.
If the Requests option is missing from the top line menu, your staff record probably only has Administrator privileges. If you need to use Requests then Adviser privileges must be added. Update your privileges by using the Users, Staff members options to locate and add the role to your record.
